Miami, FL-April 23, 2018- May 18 is Haitian Flag Day! Haitian Flag Day is a day of cultural celebration for Haitians living all over the Diaspora. If one is planning to celebrate Haitian Flag Day, Little Haiti is the only destination. Little Haiti salutes the president of Compas. Haitian pop icon/ Haiti’s former president/ band leader Sweet Micky is set to take stage on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Sounds of Little Haiti performing some of his most electrifying hits.
Sounds of Little Haiti, a monthly music event takes place at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex every third Friday of the month and comprises a variety of cultural experiences which includes a musical showcase, family art activities, art exhibitions, and shopping in the Caribbean Marketplace.
This free outdoor event is a cultural event that gives Haitians in the Diaspora, local residents , and tourist an opportunity to celebrate authentic Haitian culture and its influence in the South Florida community. The event will be hosted by Mecca aka Grimo. The show kicks off at 7pm and end with Rara Lakay at 11pm
